Wilko appoints new chief commercial officer

Wilko is pleased to announce that Andrew Moore will be joining its senior management team as chief commercial officer and executive board director.

Andrew was most recently senior vice president and chief merchandising officer at Asda in charge of a multi-billion-pound portfolio of merchandise across all Asda trading divisions. Prior to that, he was executive managing director for George where he was instrumental in developing the clothing label into a global brand.

Commenting on the appointment, Lisa Wilkinson family director, said: “Andrew’s breadth of commercial experience strengthens and complements our existing leadership team and we’re looking forward to working with him to further develop our ambition to put great product at the heart of everything we do.”

Speaking about his new appointment, Andrew Moore, said: “I’m very excited about joining wilko. It’s a much-loved brand with a strong family-oriented culture and I look forward to working with the team to take the company to the next stage of its product-led strategy.”

Andrew has more than 30 years’ experience of commercial leadership in retail including Marks & Spencer where he held several senior positions including director of general merchandise.  

He joins wilko at the beginning of December.
