Published: 20 May 2019 - Kiran Grewal

To mark the beginning of Smart Home Week, tech guru Jason Bradbury hosted a pop-up tech clinic at Charing Cross Station in Central London ahead of the week on Saturday 18 May.

From 11am – 3pm inquisitive consumers dropped into the pop-up tech clinic, met Jason Bradbury and discovered more about the benefits of smart home technology. For those who wished to find out more about the advantages of introducing smart tech into their homes, the pop-up clinic provided the perfect opportunity to ask questions, find out how to create a tech smart home and uncover the best products suited to their lifestyle.

TV presenter, author and ultimate tech guru, Jason Bradbury had been enlisted to share his knowledge with the nation at the Smart Home Week clinic. An expert in the technology industry, Mr Bradbury is known for hosting the tech savvy TV show, The Gadget Show UK and US as well as for his astonishing inventions.

The Gadget Show’s Jason Bradbury commented on Smart Home Week: “I’m delighted to be involved in Smart Home Week 2019, the campaign is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the benefits of smart technology. With all the key players in the tech industry supporting the campaign, it showcases how big an industry it’s becoming and how more people are starting to introduce smart technology into their homes and day to day lives. It is still common for homeowners to have concerns surrounding the introduction of technology into their home and the security risks they may face following installation."

As well as discovering everything there is to know about smart home technology, guests to the pop-up tech clinic were able to try their hand at a game of ‘Wheel of Fortune’, where they got the chance to spin to win prizes. From Yale smart alarm kits, to amazon Alexas and Phillips Hue starter kits, there were a variety of prizes available to win.

The focus of Smart Home Week 2019 is to help make it simple for homeowners to be smart about tech. The pop-up was an informative and educational hub, designed to tackle concerns and address issues surrounding the complexity and reliability of data security.

Through partnering with some of the leading names in the smart technology industry, Smart Home Week will offer unparalleled advice and information on all products available. Helping to simplify usage and understanding of smart home technology can ensure the products are accessible for all.
