Garden building manufacturer, Kybotech, has announced it has appointed a new general manager to head up the manufacturing and operational side of the business.

Paul Copestick has joined the Worksop based company from Kairos Group where he worked as group business improvement manager and prior to that, head of manufacturing for Synseal Group. He will be leading the manufacturing and operational teams, managing over 150 employees and the 870,000 square foot factory and warehousing facility on the Dukeries Industrial estate in the town.

Kybotech also recently appointed a new director to head up the company’s buying team. Catherine Lyons has joined the company from discount warehouse JTF, where she gained eight years of experience as director of buying.

Mr Copestick will be ensuring the smooth day to day running of the facility, working closely with and developing and supporting the operational teams within the business to help drive it forwards.

Kybotech operates from a 20-acre site in Nottinghamshire and sells more than 165,000 sheds, log cabins, playhouses, green houses and outdoor garden buildings online each year under the brand names BillyOh.com and GardenBuildingsDirect.co.uk.

The company was founded by award-winning CEO Charles Walton in 2000, and it now employs 220 people worldwide and boasts a £23million turnover.

Commenting on Mr Copestick's appointment, COO Christopher Palmer-Smith said: “We’re delighted to welcome Paul to the team and such a senior appointment reinforces how committed we are to build on the success of Kybotech and continue to grow.

“This role is critical to our future growth and expansion. Paul will be central in working with us to create a world class manufacturing facility using the latest technologies to improve outputs and increase efficiency.

“This is a great time for Paul to join the company and work with us to achieve the next stage of our business growth.”

Mr Copestick said: “I’m delighted to be joining the team at Kybotech. The company is going through an exciting growth phase and have huge potential to take it to the next level.

“This is by far one of the most entrepreneurial teams I’ve joined, and I’m thrilled to be going on this journey with them.”
