Would-be garden centre burglars flee empty-handed

Published: 30 July 2012
Thieves who raided Andover Garden Centre were thwarted after being disturbed.
The burglary - at the Garden Centre Group outlet - took place late on a midweek evening. The two thieves broke into the building housing the Yankee Candles concession.

They tried to escape with around 350, worth just short of £7,000 at retail price.

However they were disturbed "by a passer-by" a member of staff at the centre told DIY Week. "We don't know who."
