Wholesaler delighted with turn-out for 150th anniversary and trade show, which sees record numbers attend.
A spectacular setting, a retirement celebration, and a new product launch – that was just a few of the major delights that greeted guests to the 150th anniversary dinner and trade show for DF Wishart at The Gleneagles Hotel in Scotland.

The celebration dinner – on Sunday September 30 – greeted 120 guests for the the DF Wishart 150th anniversary, and mark the retirement of chairman Brian Wishart after 44 years service.

The dinner was combined with a trade show on Monday October 1 that broke all records for sales and attendance with more than 300 people in attendance. The trade show saw more than 60 major suppliers exhibit.

The show also provided the perfect opportunity for Wishart to promote its newest ranges of housewares and protective clothing.

Sales and marketing director Mr George Gardner said he was absolutely delighted with the event.

He said: "I would like to acknowledge the help and support of the very many customers , suppliers and staff involved not just in this exhibition, but indeed over the last 150 years.

"It was very satisfying for us to be able to mark the occasion of our 150th anniversary in the company of so many friends from the industry. We were absolutely overwhelmed by the goodwill and gifts we received; here's to the next 150 years."
