Webbs expands with Hurrans site
Webbs of Wychbold, awarded best garden centre in Britain by the Garden Centre Association two years running, has secured its future at Hurrans' West Hagley garden centre.

Webbs has been managing the site since March this year, after Hurrans fell into administration in late January. The family-run business has been in the process of securing a long-term lease at the centre near Stourbridge, with the deal due to complete any day.

The current workforce of 17 full-time and part-time employees will remain at the West Hagley centre, although it is reported that Webbs plan to double the team by the end of the year.

Webbs executive chairman Ed Webb said: "We think this site is in a wonderful location and will offer our customers a new and different experience. It is a great opportunity for us."
