Treadstone Products has strengthened its UK sales team with the promotion of Matt Thompson to the role of UK head of garden retail.
Mr Thompson will be responsible for the promotion of the Treadstone Products brand to retailers across the UK. He will also be looking after the company's new exclusive range of branded gardening accessories, including The Good Life, Laura Ashley and a children's range based on the popular cbeebies television programme Peter Rabbit.
He brings a wealth of garden sector experience to the role, having worked at a number of leading garden retailers before joining Treadstone. Mr Thompson started his career as a trainee garden centre manager with Sainsbury's Homebase and has since worked as a deputy garden centre manager with both Wyevale and Dobbies, and as a general manager with the Blue Diamond Group and Notcutts. He went on to join Treadstone Products as a national sales manager, before being promoted to his current role.
