Tesco general merchandise director resigns

Published: 25 June 2014
The general merchandise director at struggling grocer Tesco is quitting the company.
Neela Mukherjee's responsibilities included homewares and electrical products, amongst other non-food categories. She had been in control of both online and offline business.

Ms Mukherjee took on the role in November 2012, at the same time as Terry Price, non-food commercial director, left after only 18 months in the job.

Group multichannel director Robin Terrell will now take on responsibility for general merchandise at Tesco.
