The introduction of a range of Transportation Security Administration (TSA) locks and luggage strap from Rolson is targeting those discerning travellers whose baggage has left their side at airports and terminals, and is subject to random checking by the travel authorities.
The airline check-in staff are trained to recognise the travel security logo, says Rolson, and they understand that baggage with locks displaying this mark are permitted to remain locked.

TSA screeners have access to special codes that allow them to open those locks in the event that the baggage must be opened for inspection, eliminating the need to break locks.
