Bea Pearson has been named as the new chief operating officer at Robert Dyas.
Ms Pearson has worked for the hardware and homewares chain for the last 11 years, initially as a part-time sales assistant, and was latterly director of retail operations.

She takes over from Phil Green who has left the retailer to set up his own consultancy.

After retail entrepreneur Theo Paphitis took over Robert Dyas in July 2012 the business's operating profit in the year to March 30 soared 353% to £4.9m and turnover increased 8% to £114.4m.
