John Bampkin has been promoted to regional director of west and Wales at Jewson.
He moves from his current role as area director for the East Midlands where he looked after 22 of the builders merchant's branches, and will now be responsible for sales and operations across all 150 of Jewson's branches in Wales and the west of England.

Mr Bampkin joined Jewson from Travis Perkins in 2007, after 26 years in the builders merchants sector.

He said: "I am delighted to be offered this new role. I look forward to working with the regional team and our customers to ensure that Jewson continues to get better and better at delivering quality sustainable products to the construction industry throughout Wales and the west of England."
