Petersham Nurseries to open in Selfridges London

Published: 5 January 2011
Richmond-based gardening business to showcase its garden and lifestyle ranges at flagship department store in Oxford Street from January 10.
The shop within a shop format will be located on the lower ground floor of Selfridges' Oxford Street store and will offer 'a little slice of all of Petersham's best bits', says the firm.

Selfridges shoppers will be able to browse an array of outdoor and conservatory living products, as well as garden tools, accessories and household items. Collections on offer from Petersham will range from gardening gloves, cleaning products and vintage watering cans to Murano glass vases, candelabras and organic household products. The 'sister shop' will also offer a range of garden and conservatory furniture, including metal tables and chairs in a variety of colours and patinas.

Petersham Nurseries will open at Selfridges on January 10.

The move follows a series of garden retailers opening 'pop-up' shops in shopping centres and high street locations in 2010. Last October Notcutts, Bents and the Garden and Leisure Group launched dedicated Christmas shops, offering the centres' festive ranges in key retail spots across the UK, including Bluewater in Kent, and the Liverpool One shopping centre.
