Newsome Tools sales representative for Scotland George Crooks is retiring after 20 years next month.
Managing director Martin Newsome thanked Mr Crooks for "20 years' loyal, dedicated and highly successful service to the company, which saw sales develop from a standing start to a dominant position throughout the whole of Scotland, making Newsome Tools a major player in Scotland to the independent retailer."

He added: "Not only will I really miss working with George, many of his customers are telling me the same - he is both well liked and a man of the highest integrity."

Mr Crooks and his wife Dorothy plan to spend more time in the USA visiting their son and his family.
