New owners for Cromford Garden Centre

Published: 1 June 2007
Cromford Garden Centre in Derby has new owners who are looking to develop the four acre site – an acre of which is currently only occupied by the centre and a cafe.
The sale went through in mid-May and newly-appointed general manager David Lane said the deal was signed while he and other staff were attending a farewell dinner.

He told local papers: "It was all rather dramatic and sudden – we spent time packing up and then re-opened 24 hours later."

The new owners, who have experience of developing businesses, are understood to want to re-position it upon destination lines.
