Aleck Ward from Redruth, Cornwall, has been appointed manager of Par Garden Centre, part of the Garden Centre Group.
Mr Ward first worked for what was then Wyevale while a student at college. Garden Centre Group regional manager for the South West Peter Burks said: "I am delighted that Aleck has been appointed as manager of Par Garden Centre. He has worked his way up from a garden centre assistant and has proved himself to be a proficient manager. I look forward to working closely with Aleck in the future."
