Sheffield-based Burgon & Ball, creator of beautiful premium gardening tools and accessories since 1730, is helping retailers boost impulse sales this autumn with a new limited-edition series of countertop displays for hand cutting tools.
The new displays feature a choice of three of Burgon & Ball’s top-selling RHS-endorsed cutting tools: the Flower & Fruit Snip; the Micro Secateur; and the Pocket Pruner. With a bespoke countertop display unit for each SKU, the offer brings together an irresistible combination of attractive pricing, striking presentation, and appealing handle colours.
Cleverly designed and simple to merchandise, each case comes as an easy-to-construct outer with integrated eye-catching POS. An optional sticker highlights the special promotional pricing, giving retailers freedom to set their own pricing strategy. Pricing has been set to offer an attractive margin of 40 per cent to the retailer, and savings of up to £5 off the RRP for the shopper.
Each case holds 24 units in a mix of colours to offer unique ‘pick-n-mix’ appeal to the shopper. Unusually, the cutting tools are presented out of their blister packs, instead having clear plastic sleeves over each blade. This access allows shoppers to handle the tools and test the smooth cutting action.
These three countertop displays are part of Burgon & Ball’s new series of limited-edition WIGIG promotions at appealing price points. Smart, creative and very easy to implement in store, the new promotions have been designed to attract interest and drive sales, tempting shoppers to treat someone special this season – and maybe treat themselves, too!
