More expert speakers announced for GCA conference

Published: 23 January 2013
Retailing to women will be the subject of speaker Liz Hutson's speech at the GCA annual conference on January 28, while Paul Arrigo from Franchi Seeds will speak on the subject of 'From Seed to Plate' the following day.
They are the latest speakers to be announced for the conference, with others including 'king of garden centres' Wayne Hemingway and 'Secret Millionaire' John Elliott. GCA member and owner of Caulders Garden Centres Colin Barrie is just one of the 300 expected delegates who is looking forward to the event. "The line-up of speakers for this year's GCA conference looks absolutely superb," he said. "I'm really looking forward to attending the conference."

GCA chairman Peter Burks added: "Our programme of speakers this year is really exciting and it looks set to be a great conference. We will also hear from Carol Paris, director general of the Horticultural Trades Association (HTA) and Bob Sherman, chief horticultural officer at Garden Organic, who will tell us what the company is doing to promote greener living and gardening in particular."

Tickets are still available for the conference, which runs from January 27 - 29 at the Crowne Plaza Heythrop Park near Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire.
