Millbrook GC names charity partner for 2013

Published: 13 February 2013
The Children and Young Peoples' Service (chYps) has been named as Millbrook Garden Centre's charity of the year.
The charity provides hospice care for children at home, and will be supported by the Kent and East Sussex-based garden centre company for the next 12 months.

"We chose chYps because of its work supporting children and young people," said Millbrook managing director Tammy Woodhouse, "We are really looking forward to raising funds throughout 2013 that can be used to help children in need. We think chYps is a very worthy charity."

ChYps is the first children's hospice at home service and one of very few to provide oncology and end-of-life care to children in the home. Millbrook initially raised £1,505 for chYps as a result of is charity festive evenings last December.
