Masons Timber appoints head of operations

Martin Thurley has been welcomed as the new head of operations at Masons Timber Products, bringing over 20 years of senior management experience of operations and commercial management within the joinery and timber sector.

His role will be to lead the company in the ongoing development of a customer focused, profitable and lean manufacturing company. Responsibilities will include all production, purchasing and logistic processes including quality, health and safety and environmental management.

Masons MC Josh Burbidge said: "We are delighted to recruit Martin to our senior management team as he brings with him specific successful experience of leading change within a fast-paced, results-oriented and customer focused environment."

Mr Thurley added: "'I am very pleased and excited to be joining Masons at such a pivotal moment in its future development. This business has a long and proud history within the joinery and timber industry and a very loyal customer base.

"I aim to build on all the good aspects of this business and to introduce a culture of continuous improvement and a genuine focus on customer service at every level within our business. I have already met some very experienced, committed and long serving team members here at Masons. This will help me in further developing a strong sense of team work and inclusion."
