Lyte Ladders boasts UK manufactured ladder range

Published: 24 August 2018

Established over 70 years ago as Lyte Ladders, the company was the first UK manufacturer of aluminium ladders. After producing aluminium products for over 40 years, Lyte started manufacturing glassfibre ladders in order to satisfy the UK demand for this type of access product in the 1980’s. The Lyte glassfibre step ladder range is the only one manufactured in the UK and is tested and certified to BSEN131, soon to be launched under the new EN131 standard along with all our other ladders and steps. Our range of industrial towers was launched in 2002 and grew again in 2004 with our folding tower and continues to grow year after year with more welded products being added to the range. The company says it prides itself in its relationships with its customers and assisting its customers and end users in choosing the correct access equipment for the job in hand. To this end Lyte Ladders has developed its ‘Products in use’ concept.  This initiative allows the user to identify what products are suitable for different environments and types of work.  The company has developed a series of symbols which easily highlight the products to be used in the most appropriate environments.
