Kingfisher appoints new director of sustainability and innovation

Dax Lovegrove will join Kingfisher on June 2 as the retailer's new director of sustainability and innovation.

Mr Lovegrove has spent the last 10 years working as head of business and industry for WWF.

He will join Kingfisher's Net Positive team and will report to group sustainability director, Richard Gillies, who joined from M&S in October last year.

Responsibilities for Mr Lovegrove will include developing Europe's leading home improvement retailer's sustainability strategy and policy framework across environmental and social issues.

Mr Gillies said of Mr Lovegrove's appointment: "I am delighted that Dax will be joining Kingfisher's Net Positive team in June this year.

"His experience in corporate sustainability and green innovation will be crucial to Kingfisher as we look to progress our Net Positive ambitions on an international scale."
