To mark Help for Heroes' fifth anniversary the challenge for participants was to reach the summit of five peaks, in five nations in just 55 hours - something that has never been done before.

The trekkers covered a total of 40 miles of trails - equivalent to ascending Kilimanjaro - and crossed four borders and one sea, as it took on Snowdon in Wales, Scafell Pike in England, Ben Nevis in Scotland, Slieve Donard in Northern Ireland and Carrantuohill in Eire.

Ms Dugher said of the challenge: "I feel really strongly about this charity and knew it would be a tough challenge, but with my colleagues' fantastic support, it was made much easier. It was an incredible achievement but is nothing compared to the bravery our service men and woman show on a daily basis."
