HTA recruits Scotland and Ireland manager

Published: 1 October 2014
The Horticultural Trades Association (HTA) membership services team has a new recruit, with Neil Cummings joining as regional business manager for Scotland and Ireland.
Mr Cummings has spent the last 27 years living and working in Scotland and studied for his DHE qualification at the Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh.

With the bulk of his career in garden retail, he spent 16 years with Dobbies as a plant buyer. More recently he worked at Milestone Garden and Leisure and Floors Castle Plant Centre in Kelso, where he developed the business around its plant offer.

As the prime point of contact for HTA members in Scotland and Ireland Mr Cummings will interact with local government and regional stakeholders to ensure that members are kept abreast of key issues.
