Home Hardware appoints new director
Home Hardware chairman David Adams said that Mr Mayo had "a wealth of retail experience, is well-known in the industry and as well as his knowledge and enthusiasm he will also extend our geographic representation in the north of England.

"This brings the number of retail members of the board up to nine, covering a variety of sizes of stores and locations across the country."

Mr Mayo added: "Becoming a member of Home Hardware has had a tremendous benefit to our business which has been way beyond my original expectations. I am honoured to have been invited and I look forward to being able to make a contribution to the ongoing success and development for the retail members which I care deeply about."
