A garden centre worker is the best in the UK after being crowned Garden Retail Awards' Employee of the Year.
Louise Gandy, gift supervisor at the Chester-based Grosvenor Garden Centre, was chosen from entrants from around the UK.

She won the award for, amongst other things, her enthusiasm, professionalism and popularity with her colleagues.

Louise said: "I love my job - the variety it offers is everything I could wish for and winning the award is simply the icing on the cake!"

Iain Wylie, managing director of Grosvenor added: "Louise is a popular and highly dependable member of the team and a deserved winner of the Employee of the Year Award."

Louise will once again be performing her popular festive demonstrations at Grosvenor Garden Centre's Open Evening next Wednesday December between 6pm and 9pm and during Grosvenor's late nights on Thursdays and Fridays throughout December before Christmas.
