Essential reading for retailers and suppliers in the home improvement market

Gorilla is back on TV

Published: 13 July 2020 - Neil Mead

Gorilla is back on TV, supporting their premium tapes and adhesives with a multiplatform advertising campaign! The brand will be using a mix of traditional TV advertising and sponsorship to drive impressions with their core audiences. The brand will also be pitch side for some of the highest viewed Premier League matches in history, with disruptive perimeter board activity along with digital support.

Gorilla is well known for their eye-catching ads and top-class creative, which is guaranteed to stick in the mind of shoppers. This campaign will be no different, as Gorilla will be featured across all major TV networks, including ITV, Channel 4 and SKY channels. The brand will also be sponsoring prime time TV across CBS channels during this period to gain significant exposure with core audiences of DIYers and Trades People. These campaigns will be supporting the core Gorilla ranges – Gorilla Glue, Gorilla Tape and Super Glue.

Gorilla will also be in the centre of the action during some of the biggest upcoming Premier League matches. The much-anticipated return of the nation’s favourite football league to our screens saw some amazing viewing figures throughout the return in June, with matches receiving up to 90% increases of their usual viewership. With some matches pulling in over 5 million viewers, Gorilla’s impressive perimeter board creative was guaranteed to have an impact. This incredible momentum will be carried into the 20/21 Premier League season as Gorilla will be pitch side in a further 12 of the biggest games.

As the pace gears up towards the August bank holiday, this activity will secure those extra sales during one of DIY’s biggest weekends of the year. Gorilla encourages retailers to increase stocks of their premium tapes and adhesives to feed this demand.
