Essential reading for retailers and suppliers in the home improvement market

GIMA negotiation skills course open to all

Published: 8 February 2013
The Garden Industry Manufacturers Association is inviting members and non-members to attend a course this month to learn how to negotiate effectively within their professional role.
GIMA negotiation skills course open to all
The one-day Negotiation Skills training aims to act as both introduction and refresher in negotiation. Practical experience of the process will be gained through interactive case studies, and an understanding of the common mistakes made at each stage and how to avoid them will be demonstrated through feedback, leading to the identification of action points for personal development.

GIMA says that anyone involved in negotiating with staff over holiday bookings, seeking more orders and increased sales from customers, dealing with customer complaints or looking for a better deal from a supplier will benefit.

Tutor for the day will be Brent Warren, who teaches management and leadership at The University of Nottingham.

The course will be held on February 27 2013 from 9:30am to 4:30pm at Henley in Arden Golf and Country Club. The fee for members is £97 and for non-members £225.
