Andrew Smith promoted to position after being ‘instrumental’ in strengthening the company’s four major brands.
Mr Smith will take up the position of managing director of Fiskars Brands UK Limited, which incorporates Wilkinson Sword garden products, Sankey Home and Garden Products, Kitchen Devils and Craft.
He succeeds Ian MacQueen who joined the company last year in a transitory role following the retirement of Ian Fraser.
Mr Smith joined Fiskars in 2001 as marketing manager. He has been instrumental in developing the individual strengths of the four brands and also building on their synergies under the Fiskars umbrella.
He has also forged closer production links between the Bridgend and Nottingham factories.
Mr Smith said of his new position: "The Fiskars portfolio is made up of major retail brands and there will be very few British homes that do not have one or more of our products in their kitchens and gardens.
"My knowledge of the products, the markets and our core customers will be a considerable strength in driving the business forward".
