Essential reading for retailers and suppliers in the home improvement market

Exclusively Shows launch Exclusively Gift

Published: 28 February 2019 - Kiran Grewal

2019 sees Exclusively Housewares & Exclusively Electrical once again working the British Independent Retailers Association (BIRA), and together

have announced a new joint initiative for 2019 and the launch of the Exclusively Gift, which it says will ensure that a visit to the show is both productive and cost effective.

It was the success of the 2018 BIRA bonus that fuelled the development of the 2019 Exclusively Gift. Last year the appeal of the voucher drew new, lapsed and regular visitors with a better than expected redemption level. Visitors welcomed the voucher, it provided an added incentive to visit the show, and offered the opportunity to speak to new suppliers and to develop business with their existing account base. The voucher was also welcomed by exhibitors as a tool to open new accounts and build business with existing. For bira, they benefitted from networking with both visitors and suppliers and consequently have decided to put further support to the voucher initiative and are exhibiting again at the show in 2019.

Exclusively Gift vouchers with the value of £100, will be sent to BIRA direct members, registered to attend the show, prior to the show, operating in the housewares, SDA, gift and lifestyle sectors. New for 2019, the voucher will be accepted by all exhibitors wanting to participate in the initiative. This we trust will encourage all exhibitors to get behind the scheme, and no supplier is excluded. The voucher offers a real benefit for exhibitors, requiring no contribution, it offers the opportunity to open new accounts and build business with existing accounts, but remember each BIRA member only has one voucher but visitors do need to spend a minimum value of £300 net of vat to redeem their voucher.

Simon Boyd, marketing and operations director of Exclusively Shows commented: “For all the reasons above we are delighted to be making a bigger and better initiative by extending the program to all suppliers making it accessible to all. We are sure that our cooperation with bira offers buyers a competitive edge and we take pleasure in the fact that bira have chosen Exclusively shows as their only show to exhibit in 2019. We appreciate their extended to support for this initiative, which is of real benefit to the independent trade”.

“Following the encouraging feedback from both members and suppliers last year, as well as the positive uptake of members visiting the show. We are really looking forward to exhibiting at the show this year, supporting members with a truly extraordinary offer.”

Will Jones BHETA director of Housewares added: “We are delighted to be once again supporting the independent sector with this excellent visitor incentive.  This offer highlights our commitment to both exhibitors and visitors alike and confident that it will contribute to another successful show.”
