Matthew Bent, managing director of Bents Garden Centres, has been named Cheshire's Young Director of the Year.
Director of the Year for Bent
The North West Director of the Year Awards, held by the Institute of Directors, recognise the "contribution of directors to their business, not only through company performance, but also how they manage other factors such as their people and corporate social responsibility."

Halo Furnishings, one of the centre's suppliers, nominated Mr Bent. The centre's Open Skies Glasshouse and Mr Bent's "ongoing vision for the continuing development of Bents" impressed judges.

Mr Bent said of his award: "This is a great personal achievement and one which I am extremely proud of. I couldn't have won the award without the help and support of a strong management team and the day t day commitment from every colleague who helps to create the Bents experience."
