Adhesive and sealant supplier appoints Richard Howells to the newly created post, demonstrating its commitment to developing sustainable practice as a core element of its business.

Mr Howells previously led groundbreaking sustainability programs at one of the largest steel manufacturers in Europe, with particular focus on sustainable practices and responsible sourcing of construction products. He holds a PhD in construction technology.

He said of his new appointment: "I'm delighted to be joining Bostik and looking forward to continuing the positive work already in place to ensure the company leads the way in sustainability. A key part of my role will be to work closely with partners on product development, production and delivery across our major brands."

Bostik UK managing director Tony Davison said: "We have a core commitment to developing more sustainable products and practices as a fundamental part of our business. The appointment of Richard will really help us to build on this good work, allowing us to offer our customers products that are ahead of the game in terms of legislative compliance and quality for the end user."
