BHETA is to hold another of its popular retailer networking webinars, this time with the new B&Q Marketplace initiative, which is setting out to onboard some 100,000 new products within six months. The event will take place on Monday 25th April at 2pm and the speaker will be Alex Chatterton, Marketplace Business Development Manager.
At the webinar, Alex will outline the active recruitment programme for suppliers for B&Q and will talk for 20 minutes about B&Q’s new marketplace development, future opportunities and how to get involved. The talk will be followed by a Q&A session for 10-15 minutes.
Choice is vital for customers when it comes to home improvement, which is why B&Q, the UK’s most recognisable and trusted home improvement retailer, has launched a new online home improvement marketplace. Within the new proposition, B&Q is both expanding existing ranges and adding the following categories:
- Power Tools
- Cleaning & Waste
- Kitchen sink taps
- Small Domestic Appliances
Over the coming weeks, it is expected that third-party sellers will bring thousands more new products from a broad range of brands.
While this is a BHETA member-only event, non-members who would like to attend can contact Keeley Vernon, BHETA’s sector manager for DIY and garden on 07398 840418.
BHETA’s marketing manager, Steve Richardson commented, “The B&Q marketplace concept is a much talked about development and I am sure that DIY and garden brands will want to get involved. It’s great that BHETA is providing an excellent opportunity to do exactly that, and I am sure there will be a great turn-out.”
