2016 GCA conference will mark 50 years

Published: 8 June 2015
The Garden Centre Association's (GCA) 2016 golden jubilee year conference is to be held at the Grand Hotel in Brighton, January 24-27.
Said interim chief executive Iain Wylie: "Next year is an extra special one for us. 2016 will see the association celebrate its 50th anniversary, so the annual dinner in particular will be a very special event.

"As well as the celebrations the conference will be the usual mix of top quality speakers, analysis of inspections and garden centre best practice and announcements of competition and awards."

The event will kick off on the Sunday with the Greenfingers Challenge Cup. Monday will see the inspection and competition round-ups plus keynote speakers, themed around operational issues, followed by an evening dinner.

Tuesday's speakers will cover subjects such as the economy, challenges facing business and future market trends, with an emphasis on maintaining and enhancing profitability.

The supplier exhibition will take place in the afternoon, with the annual gala dinner and awards presentation in the evening, plus a special celebration of the 50th anniversary.

More details will be released soon on www.gca.org.uk.
