Toolstream's new office pet

Published: 29 October 2013
Toolstream welcomed the 'May Contain Nuts (& Bolts)' Gromit to its head office after making a large donation to Wallace and Gromit's Grand Appeal auction.

The charity auction supported Bristol Children's Hospital, which is one of only a few specialist children's hospitals in the UK that provides life-saving surgery, care and treatment to children on a local, national and international scale.

'May Contain Nuts (& Bolts)' comprises 24,900 hex nuts, each attached individually by mosaic artist Natalie Guy, who said the design was inspired by inventors Wallace & Gromit and Brunel's Clifton Suspension Bridge.

After arriving at its 'forever home' in Yeovil earlier this month, the charity committee at Toolstream organised a day of Wallace and Gromit-themed fundraising to raise even more money for the Children's Hospital.

Managing director Darrell Morris said: "This is a fabulous opportunity for our staff to get involved and have fun whilst contributing to a deserving charity, and we are really happy to be a part of it.

"We fell in love with May Contain Nuts (& Bolts) Gromit, and with the proceeds going to such a good cause we knew we had to have him. Gromit will have pride of place at our offices, so our staff and visitors can enjoy him for many years to come."
