Tile Giant boosts its retail footprint with the launch of its new Sutton store

Published: 27 September 2022 - Neil Mead

Leading tile retailer, Tile Giant, has extended its retail footprint, opening its 83rd store in Sutton, London. Building on a successful retail operation that has spanned the last 20 years, the new store will open on 10th October offering a wide range of ethically sourced, design-led ceramic and porcelain tiles ready to take away, plus an even bigger selection available to click & collect or for home delivery.

With tiles sourced from far and wide to bring customers the best price and quality, the new store will offer a diverse collection of wall and floor tiles, as well as a comprehensive range of laminate, luxury vinyl and engineered wood flooring, together with an exclusive brand collaboration with Ideal Home that brings designer style to the home. Each product is hand-picked to ensure there’s a style and price point to suit all budgets, with designs exclusive to Tile Giant.

Staffed by a friendly and experienced in-store team, customers can discuss their project ideas face-to-face, gathering inspiration and advice, and will be able to see how their chosen tiles and flooring options will look in their own home using Tile Giant’s Envision augmented reality visualiser tool.

To ensure customers can get the products they need quickly, Sutton will stock a huge range of project essentials, including levelling compounds, grouts, adhesives, tools, cutters and trims, from popular brands including Mapei, Ultra, Rubi, Durabase, Schluter and No More Ply. The exclusive Beyond 20mm outdoor collection will also be displayed in store, offering porcelain tiles to transform outside spaces.

A series of offers, deals, competitions and promotions will be available for trade and retail customers, with exclusive events running for the first eight weeks of the store’s opening. On top of the generous discounts offered by Tile Giant’s Trade Rewards scheme, trade

customers should look out for goody bags full of branded merchandise as well as competitions to win prizes such as a Rubi cutter, while retail customers can win up to £400 toward the cost of their tiles or flooring.

As part of the events in-store, Tile Giant will be welcoming home improvement expert, Ryan Belcher on 13th October. London-based contractor, Ryan, is the current face of Tile Giant Trade and will be in-store to provide insights and top tips across a range of tiles, materials and accessories for trade customers.

Every Wednesday from 12th October until the end of November, one of Tile Giant’s trade suppliers will also be in store to provide product demonstrations and tiling tips. Customers can expect to see industry-leading brands such as Rubi, Mapei and Ultra offering their expert advice.

Mike Ashley, CEO of Tile Giant, says: ‘The last few years have seen a number of strategic changes within Tile Giant to secure and strengthen our position within the tile and flooring market, with the team keen to expand our retail footprint into the new year through a series of store openings.

“Our store format, product portfolio and highly skilled team are tried and tested, with Sutton set to be another strong performer for us. It’s an ideal location for us, based on a trade park with easy access, free parking and a large floor space to ensure we have a strong stock holding to service trade customers as well as homeowners.”

The tile retailer is also looking at further store locations into early 2023, with the details of more sites to be released as Tile Giant continues on its mission to bring design-led, quality tiles at a price everyone can afford to homeowners across the country.
