The acquisition of the firm, which is known for its patented mattress protection and mattress encasement protection, adds a new category to Sure Fit’s product portfolio, which already includes a wide assortment of home textiles and accessories.

Sure Fit Home Décor, LLC, is a leading manufacturer of home textiles to the retail and hospitality industry. Based in Alburtis, Pennsylvania, the firm manufactures products under the SureFit, Hookless, Patio Armour, and Spencer brand names, including readymade slip covers, fabric covers and protectors, shower curtains and bath accessories, curtains, decorative pillows, outdoor products, and pet beds and accessories.

The acquisition of Protect-A-Bed will allow Sure Fit Home Décor to expand its presence into additional retail channels and offer new products to existing customers. It will also introduce the company’s myriad existing collections to a new sector of consumers, further expanding SureFit’s global reach and market share.

Sure Fit Home Décor CEO Jeffrey Werner said: “The Protect-A-Bed brand represents a significant addition to the current portfolio of home textiles products offered in our consumer and hospitality divisions. James’ team has built a tremendous brand, and brings a strong passion and expertise in innovation and education to the mattress protection category. We are very happy to have them on board.”

Protect-A-Bed, which is headed up by CEO James Bell, will remain headquartered in Wheeling, Illinois. The company, which distributes its products globally, with ranges stocked in 15,000 stores across 48 countries, will maintain its commitment to its distinctive and patented product line.

“Sure Fit Home Décor is an ideal fit for the Protect-A-Bed brand,” said Mr Bell. “The company’s focus on strong industry relationships and reputation for excellent customer service will allow us to offer Protect-A-Bed products to a significantly broader consumer base. Sure Fit is a leading player in home textiles with some of the strongest brands in the industry. The Protect-A-Bed team looks forward to working with Jeff and his team in their mission to take the company to an exciting new level.”
