Scotts regional sales manager Craig Keyworth is set to run the Virgin London Marathon on Sunday, April 21 to raise money for Anthony Nolan, the charity that helps cure blood cancer by matching patients with bone marrow donors.
Mr Keyworth, 40, chose to support the charity because his mother has recently been given the all-clear after suffering from cancer. He said: "When my mother was diagnosed with cancer it really hit the family hard, as we had not had any illness like this in the family before and this gave me the impetus to raise money for a cancer charity."

Commenting on the challenge ahead, Craig added: "I am well in the middle of my training programme at the moment, running four nights a week, covering around 30 miles and trying to ensure I am eating the right foods. Being out on the road each day it's such a temptation to grab a snack but I have to be disciplined."

Anthony Nolan events co-ordinator Rebecca Highfield said: "It's incredible that Craig is running the Virgin London Marathon for Anthony Nolan; fundraising is essential for the work that we do. It costs £100 to recruit each person on to the bone marrow register. The more money Craig raises, the more people we can add to the register, and the more lives we can save."
