Richard Carr joins Fiskars
Mr Carr brings with him a wealth of experience, having previously held the role of commercial director at William Sinclair, a number of directorships at Hozelock over seven years and spending 11 years at Spear & Jackson. He joins Fiskars on September 1 and will report to the company's regional director for south west Europe, John Grayson.

Mr Grayson commented: "We've been industry colleagues for a number of years in differing categories and, more recently, within the garden and DIY market during Richard's tenure at Hozelock.

"I had an opening in my management team and Richard's knowledge of Fiskars and our recent UK progression presented me with a tremendous opportunity. Combining his experience and reputation in the market with our continued development plans for the UK provides a solution with
obvious mutual benefits."

Mr Grayson concluded: "During the selection process he was the standout candidate, impressing everyone involved and I'm delighted with the conclusion."

Mr Carr said of his new role: "I have respected Fiskars for a long time and watched with admiration how the UK business has thrived in the last few years under John's leadership. It's a great opportunity for me to further develop my career with a global brand leader and within an industry I know so well."
