Planning application submitted for new Homebase store in Abingdon

Published: 29 October 2020 - Neil Mead

Planning permission is being submitted today for the opening of a new 23,800 sq ft Homebase store in Abingdon, Oxfordshire.

If planning permission is granted, the store will open on the Fairacres Retail Park in late 2021 – making it the first new Homebase has opened in over six years.

It will include a large kitchen showroom with space for customers to spend time with an expert design consultant to help turn their kitchen ideas into reality, as well as a paint and decorating area and a Bathstore.

In addition, the store will also include some of the Homebase’s newest ‘shop within a shop’ formats including ‘Storage and More’, which offers clever storage ideas for each room in the home, and a ‘Home Shop’ with a range of on-trend home furniture and furnishings..
