The Petface team collaborated with a host of companies across the pet industry to offer help to the much-loved Manchester Dogs Home, which suffered a devastating fire earlier this year.
The blaze, which took place in September, completely destroyed the historic building and, tragically, a large number of dogs at the home were killed.

The immediate priority for staff was to look after and care for the surviving dogs, with many of the animals re-housed at the sister site Cheshire Dogs' Home near Warrington.

There was a nationwide response from individual volunteers and companies - more than 3,000 people - who wanted to get involved and help. Petface donated 100 dog beds, leads and collars to the Manchester Dogs' Home. The home confirmed this month that it has received donations totalling £2m from the public since the arson attack, for which a 15-year-old boy was arrested.

A spokesperson for Petface said: "This was an awful unforeseen tragedy which affected so many and our hearts went out to everyone involved for what they experienced. We know how much work and commitment this team put into giving these dogs a wonderful home life and to have had such an event take place is devastating. We wanted to get involved and help, so we could at least try to find a way to make these dogs feel safe and comfortable again after such a heartbreaking episode."
