New boss at Haskins Roundstone

Published: 20 September 2013
The Haskins garden centre at Roundstone, near Littlehampton, has appointed Nick Joad as general manager.
The award-winning centre opened in March last year following a £13m investment by the privately-owned Haskins group.

Haskins chief executive Julian Winfield said he was delighted that Mr Joad had accepted the promotion following his role of general manager at the group's centre near East Grinstead.

Mr Joad said he is pleased to have the opportunity to manage the enthusiastic team and part time staff at one of the South's largest centres, adding, "the centre continues to grow in popularity, thanks to the personal touch and the knowledge offered by a great team in a brilliant environment."

The original Roundstone Garden Centre was acquired by the £31 million turnover Haskins group in November 2000. Since then the staff numbers have increased from 60 to over 160 full and part-time personnel to support the extensive departments and the 450 seat restaurant.
