National Home Improvement month postponed

Published: 26 March 2020 - John King

The British Home Enhancement Trade Association (BHETA) has postponed its annual DIY and garden industry consumer promotion, National Home Improvement Month, until later in the year in the light of the Covid-19 crisis.

Commenting on the postponement, BHETA’s Chief operating officer, Will Jones said: “While BHETA is pleased to see the Government acknowledge home and garden supply as ‘essential’ in this very challenging period for all consumers, it did not seem at all appropriate to be actioning a promotional marketing campaign at this time.

"BHETA and its campaign partners will update the industry on the revised timing of National Home Improvement Month when it is safe and reasonable to do so.”

National Home Improvement Month is a BHETA initiative in a joint venture with The Relations Group which is a specialist broadcast PR company.
