Next week Ms Woodhouse, who runs garden centres in Gravesend and Crowborough, will take on the grueling challenge in a bid to raise funds for Demelza Hospice Care for Children. She said: "I am very excited about taking part in the Three Peaks Challenge. The peaks I will be climbing in three days are Snowdon in Wales, Scafell Pike in England and Ben Nevis in Scotland.

"I thought this would be a fantastic challenge and a great way to raise money for Demelza Hospice Care for Children, which is The Millbrook Garden Company Limited's chosen charity for 2012.

"Demelza Hospice Care for Children cares for life-limited children and their families, offering respite breaks, end of life care and bereavement support at its hospices in Kent and South East London. It also offers a hospice at home service for children in East Sussex and parts of South West Kent.

"One of its main aims is to make the most of every moment that the child or young person spends at Demelza."

Ms Woodhouse is hoping to raise more than £500 for the charity and is more than halfway to her goal. Donations can be made through her Just Giving page.
