Key legal appointment at Travis Perkins

The Travis Perkins Group has made a key appointment to its senior management team, naming Deborah Grimason as its new general counsel.
She will be responsible for managing the group's legal affairs and will act as company secretary. She will also become an executive committee member.
Ms Grimason joins Travis Perkins - whose businesses include Wickes, ToolStation, Keyline and Tile Giant - as John Carter takes over the role of chief executive from departing ceo Geoff Cooper.
Ms Grimason brings with her over 25 years' experience of managing legal and corporate affairs with high-profile organisations, including Royal Mail, BOC, the British Coal Corporation and Nokia, in addition to seven years with the world's largest cement manufacturer, Lafarge.
