Kelkay appointment to focus on garden centres

Aggregates manufacturer and distributor Kelkay has named Alan Sheppard as its new UK sales manager.
A garden retail industry professional with 27 years' experience, and a member of the Garden Industry Manufacturers Association (GIMA) council, Mr Sheppard is tasked with building Kelkay's relationships with garden centre groups.
He was previously with Burgon & Ball, where he was head of sales, overseeing the development of key sales channels with retailers such as, Hillier, Blue Diamond, Klondyke, Dobbies, Haskins and Wyevale Garden Centres. Outside the UK, he set up Burgon & Ball's US distribution network. He has also worked with Sinclair and Town & Country.
Mr Sheppard commented: "Kelkay has a clear focus and an ambitious strategy. To get directly involved with the growth of this business was a key factor for me."
