Dobbies names new CEO

Following its takeover by private equity owners Midlothian Capital Partners and Hattington Capital, Dobbies has a new chief executive officer - John Clelend.
Dobbies names new CEO
Mr Clelend will replace Andy King, who is reportedly staying on at Dobbies in an advisory role. The new CEO has previous experience at ASDA, Maplin, B&Q and Somerfield.

He said: "Dobbies is one of the great heritage brands in British retail. We hope to build on that and create a stronger, market leading company. I am very much looking forward to working with new colleagues to grow the business together in the future."
