Bryan Clover will hike 25 miles a day for the Rainy Day Trust

Published: 5 October 2018 - Kiran Grewal

Tomorrow Rainy Day Trust CEO Bryan Clover will begin his latest challenge – hiking 175 miles of Cornwall’s rugged coastline in just seven days. Mr Clover's aim is to complete 25 miles a day and raise awareness of the work that the Trust does.

Mr Clover said: “The timing of the walk is all part of our 175th Anniversary celebrations which naturally led to the distance to be walked. It also coincides with the launch of our new partnership with Tenovus Cancer Care to provide support to our industry folks who are affected by cancer.”

The walk will start in Newquay on the 6th October and finish just north of Mevagissey a week later.

Bryan added “We’ve had a lot of support led by Dulux which has been fantastic. Without the ongoing support that our sponsors have given us, we wouldn’t be able to help so many people who need us.”

The weather at this time of year can be changeable, so Mr Clover said he is well prepared with wet weather gear and loads of changes of clothing. You can support the walk by going to https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/rainydayramble
