Board changes at BHETA

Published: 31 May 2011
BHETA vice presidents John Grayson and Nick Ryder are to stand down from their positions at BHETA's agm later this month due to work commitments, says the association.
Board changes at BHETA
Speaking to DIY Week, vice president for DIY John Grayson said he couldn't commit to another two years in the role when work and time pressures would mean he would be even more "thinly spread". He said, "after two years of an awful lot of effort in the role and one or two successes, I believe it's healthy that the board continually looks to attract 'new blood' in the key roles."

However, Mr Grayson will remain on the board to allow for "some continuity," he said. Mr Ryder will not remain on the board.

The board has announced its preferred candidates to replace both Mr Grayson and Mr Ryder. They are ex BHETA president and Isaac Lord md Andrew Weiss for the DIY role and La Cafetiere's John Jackson in the housewares role.

Members will cast their votes at the agm on June 21 when they will also vote to elect the non-exec board members as well as re-elect president John Newcomb and treasurer Gordon South.
