BIRA Direct seeks next leader

Published: 30 June 2014
The British Independent Retailers Association's buying business, BIRA Direct, is looking for a managing director designate.
BIRA Direct seeks next leader
The successful candidate, who will be based in Birmingham, will take the company forward following the retirement next year of current managing director Paul Woolley.

With an annual turnover of £26m the wholly-owned subsidiary of BIRA has ambitious plans for growth. The new managing director will be responsible for development and implementation of commercial strategy for BIRA Direct and will be closely involved in the buying process.

BIRA says that product knowledge of the DIY, housewares, cookware and gift sectors would be preferable.

More information is available from Rebecca Abbott, BIRA HR and information manager, at rebecca.abbott@bira.co.uk
