Steve Mead moves over to Cambridge-based firm to take up the role of head of marketing.
Bayer Garden entices its latest recruit from Westland
Mr Mead, takes up his new position on October 5. He joins Bayer from Westland, where he has been working on a project to launch a new range of seeds. He also has experience working with Scotts, Wickes, Sainsburys and Homebase.

Bayer Garden head Colin Golding said: "It's a coup to have enticed Steve to join our team. He has plenty of experience in the garden sector and, having worked in retailers knows our customers and their shoppers from the inside. He is the perfect candidate for us as we expand our marketing activities."

Mr Mead said of his new role: "I am extremely excited about the opportunity ahead at Bayer Garden. Working alongside the committed and experienced team, I believe I can make a real difference."
